EMK Neurotherapeutics

EMK specializes in integrative and personalized treatment of depression, ADHD, anxiety, OCD, PTSD, addiction and related conditions. We optimize outcomes by selecting from a wide range of treatment modalities and tools as such psychotherapy, nutraceuticals and pharmacotherapy, pharmacogenetics testing, biofeedback, personal health technology-based coaching as well as advanced therapeutics such as transcranial magnetic stimulation(TMS), and esketamine(Spravato).

Whereas many clinics nowadays brand and market themselves as specialists in treatment such as TMS and ketamine but offer only brief initial psychiatrist consultations and generic protocols, we at EMK strongly believe that the best treatment outcomes are achieved by taking a holistic approach under the guidance of highly skilled psychiatrists who possess both the depth of expertise in various treatment modalities as well as in complex mental conditions.

Further, while treatments such as TMS and esketamine are often quoted as having response and remission rates as high as 90% and 50% respectively, attaining lasting improvement remains challenging. As such, we achieve high efficacy and durability by providing individualized protocols and as part of a holistic bio-psycho-social based and root-cause-resolution driven treatment approach.

At large, EMK is an integrative mental health practice committed to bringing patients timely and affordable relief as well as sustainable transformation of symptoms into strengths, illness into wellness, and disability into actualization of fulfilling and joyous lives.

EMK is short for EudaiMeraKintsugi, a portmanteau of Eudaimonia, Meraki, and Kintsugi

  • Eudaimonia, an Ancient Greek concept often translated as “human flouring” rather than mere happiness and represents the highest human good—a lifelong state of living well, acting virtuously, and realizing one’s true potential.

  • Meraki, a Greek word signifying the act of doing something with soul, creativity, or love—putting "something of yourself" into work or tasks—often used to describe work done with passion, devotion, and highest quality of craftsmanship.

  • Kintsugi, “golden joinery”, is the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery with lacquer mixed with powdered gold. Rather than discarding or hiding the broken, Kintsugi embodies the philosophy of embracing flaws, enforcing resilience, and creating beauty in imperfection.

… three manifestations we aspire to encapsulate in our services and to help instill in our patients' lives.
